Scott McFarland is president of HealthBI where he leads the organization’s health information technology platforms and contact center solutions for providers and payers. He is world-class at scaling software technologies and the teams that make them interoperable, efficient, and effective. Scott is often described as the ultimate utility player who balances his professional day as a technologist, systems architect, work flow/process designer, intellectual property attorney, operations guru, and P&L owner.
A nationally recognized health innovator and positive disruptor, Scott comes to HealthBI with executive management experience at leading healthcare organizations, including the Hawaii Health Systems Corporation (HHSC) where he served as CEO, Cleveland Clinic where he served as President of Wellness and Population Health, and Healthways where he led innovation, product development, and product management.
Immediately prior to joining HealthBI, Scott was SVP/GM of EXL Healthcare where he led BPO global service delivery for many national and regional health plans that outsourced delegated care coordination, medical cost management, UM, CM, DM, Stars, Gaps, and HEDIS functions.
Scott earned a Juris Doctor from the Drake University Law School and a Bachelor of Science from Purdue University.
